Why am I so sure we can help?

Well, unlike other guitar instructors and music teachers who try to cram every style and skill level into their lessons (when all you really want is to pick up your guitar and play something that sounds great)…

…or those who lean heavily on their “decades of experience” but haven’t updated their teaching in years, I take a fresh approach.

As the only beginner-focused guitar teacher in the Twin Cities trained in the Elite Guitar Teachers Inner Circle, I’m ready to share what I’ve learned with you—my awesome future student!

Work with A Guitar Teacher That Truly Cares About Your Success and Results

Let me tell you something fascinating I realized…

There are only 2 reasons why some people never learn the guitar…

The first one is:

They never even get started!

I’ve heard all the concerns:

I don’t have time or the talent

My hands are too small or I have sausage fingers

I’m too young or

I’m too old

Here’s the reality: None of these matters when playing the guitar.

I’ll back this claim up with a story:

Back in the early 1950’s in Australia, a young boy named John Williams started playing the guitar.

He had only 30 minutes a day to practice, but he had an incredible advantage during that short time each day.

His father, a classical guitarist, watched John practice every day, correcting all of his son’s mistakes on the guitar as they happened.

Young John grew to become a legendary award-winning classical guitar player with amazing skills thanks in great part to his father’s attention.

It’s common sense…

If you don’t have loads of natural talent but you have someone to train you the way that John’s father was able to train him…

Guitar Classes for Beginners Near MN

You have a huge advantage as a beginner:

You don’t have bucketloads of bad habits that have to be unlearned, that otherwise would lead to sloppy playing and bad rhythm, like many more advanced players have.

Now it’s true our brains don’t learn as fast when we get older but you’re never too old to do something you love.

While many people decide to forget about their dreams, others decide to move forward and succeed at getting what they want.

What this (could) mean for you is: The sooner you start playing guitar, the sooner you’ll learn how to rock out to your favorite songs or play solos and riffs.

In guitar playing, age is just a number.

Learn The Right Guitar Techniques

Let’s assume, for a moment, that you have stubby little fingers or have really small hands. Here’s some good news: When you play guitar the right way, the size and shape of your hands won’t matter.

At Twin Cities School of Guitar, I’ll assess your current skills and methods and focus on steering them in the right direction.

We’ll work with what you got, because really, all you need to do is show up as you are. Together, we’ll work against your limiting beliefs by finding the playing styles and strumming methods that work for you.

Realistic Goals, Realistic Results and Some Real Fun

Your first 30 days learning to play the guitar determine whether you stick with it.

That’s why at Twin Cities School of Guitar, we won’t make things hard, but we won’t tell you it’s easy.

Guitar is probably the hardest instrument to learn as a beginner

Your fingertips will hurt as you build calluses from pressing the strings, and  your fingers will feel like wet spaghetti as you try to make a simple chord.

Don’t let that frustrate you. It doesn’t mean that these guitar learning classes near Burnsville aren’t right for you.

I can’t solve the beginner strummer’s sting for you (as much as I want to) but here’s how we can remove the frustration that goes with it:

Step 1

Understand what to expect right from the start (I just laid it out for you)

Step 2

Have a teacher take you by the hand and teach, coach, and train you as you take your first steps playing guitar.

Step 3

Practice just 30 minutes per day.

I’m convinced that when you do and have all 3 things, it’s nearly impossible not to…

Here’s what will happen next:

I’ll give you a call, almost always within 24 hours, and we’ll have a nice, friendly chat about your situation. This call is usually about 15-20 minutes.

Now, we won’t be a good fit if you:

  • are hyper skeptical
  • don’t believe in yourself
  • are afraid to step out of your comfort zone
  • can’t commit to practice 30 mins per day minimum
  • can’t commit to taking lessons for more than a month or two

But if I have availability in my schedule, if I think I can help you AND you want to work with me, we’ll meet either in person or on Zoom (depending on Covid-19 restrictions) for 1 hour at no cost to you.

During that hour, I’ll put together a plan for getting your playing off the ground. A plan that will work for you, no matter how busy you are.

Plus I’ll show you a cool tune or two to get you making music so you can see that it’s not a pipe dream…

As what I’ve seen with many of my students: The only thing you’ll regret is not starting sooner.

As writer Charles Bukowski said,

“Regret is mostly caused by not having done anything.”
